The inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop NYC will be held on July 20, 2025, bringing together innovators, researchers, and enthusiasts for a transformative day of learning and collaboration.

Set in the heart of Midtown East, Manhattan, in an iconic art deco style, the Cornell University ILR School‘s NYC conference center (formerly the General Electric Building) will host this full-day event. It will feature keynote presentations, round tables, mentor matching, a mini-hackathon, live demonstrations, and interactive networking — all focused on the current advancements and future of AI. The workshop is co-organized by the American Statistical Association (ASA) NYC Metro Chapter and AI4Purpose Inc.

Attendees will explore topics such as generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, deep learning, ethics, and responsible deployment practices. The event welcomes all experience levels, offering beginner-friendly sessions alongside advanced technical labs.

Participants will have opportunities to connect with leading voices from diverse sectors, fostering meaningful dialogue and cross-disciplinary collaboration. A highlight of the day will be a mini-hackathon in digital health, showcasing emerging AI solutions addressing real-world challenges in fields such as statistics, data science, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing, and ethics.
